The Psoas, one of the core body muscles that makes us humans walking straight.

It is that muscle that makes us run or fight when we are in danger and stress and it is that muscle as well that causes pain when it is tight.

All mammals have a natural involuntary respond to release this tightness, there are only two species who have forgotten to use this response. one are zoo animals the other are humans. With this exercise we activating this natural respond to release tension.

When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a natural state of balance.

It is based on the fundamental idea, that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical.
Psoas release reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing.
After doing the exercise, many people report feelings of peace and well-being.
This natural shaking/vibrating response appears to be the body’s own built-in system for quieting down the brain and releasing muscular tension as a way of healing itself from chronic stress, tension and trauma.

Since this shaking mechanism in the muscles is part of our natural behavior as humans, everyone can benefit from it. This shaking of the muscles, increases the resiliency of the body because it causes deep relaxation that naturally reduces stress levels. It can release emotions ranging from mild upset to severe anxiety whether it is caused by work stress, excessive worry, conflict in relationships, physical stresses or traumas from accidents.
